April – UNIFY Updates

UNIFY launches its 2023-2024 Programme

It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to the launch of our programme. We are excited to have our 10 member organisations onboard and look forward to a successful and exciting journey together.

UNIFY Rebrand

Last year we made the decision to review and change our name from UNIFY BAME to UNIFY Network.  We believe changing our name more accurately reflects the wide ranging communities we aim to support and empower.

We have now updated our website URL domain, email address and social media handles.

  1. Website: www.unifynetwork.org.uk
  2. Email: unify@unifynetwork.org.uk
  3. LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/unifynetwork/ – you can now tag us using #unifynetwork
  4. Twitter: https://twitter.com/unify_network – you can now tag us using #unify_network
Please note our old website www.unifybame.org will be redirected to our new domain. Our old email is still active (for now) but any further correspondence will come from our new email address.

Event hosted on 19 April 2023

Young, Muslim and Ramdan

This year’s journey has kicked off with our first event of the year; Young, Muslim & Ramadan. This took place on Wednesday 19th April.

We had over 40 people attend from multiple organisations and learn about the holy month of Ramadan. This was presented by an award winning guest speaker Iqra Ismail, Director of Women’s Football at Hilltop Circle.

Please note, this was an impromptu partnership event done at short notice. Our actual Ramadan event will be taking place next year in March.

A forum for Chairs and Vice Chairs who lead their Racial Equality Network

Staff Network Forum

This forum is a safe space for chairs to share experiences and learn about building and maintaining a sustainable staff network. These sessions are hosted by people who’ve done it, are doing it and know the challenges.

Our Networking Team  have started to reach out to network chairs from our member organisations to schedule the first couple of sessions for the Staff Network Forum.

Thank You

Thank you to all our members for supporting and believing in us. We can’t wait to get started on this journey together.
